Awards and Recognition
1 cup (about 8 oz)
1 white tea bag or 2 teaspoons loose white tea leaves
8 oz (1 cup) water, about 175°F (80°C)
Optional: honey, lemon, or mint for flavor
Heat Water:
Heat water to about 175°F (80°C). Avoid boiling water as it can burn delicate white tea leaves and cause bitterness.
Steep Tea:
Place the white tea bag or tea leaves (in an infuser) into the cup. Pour the hot water over the tea.
Steep Time:
Let the tea steep for 3-4 minutes. Adjust steeping time depending on your taste preference—longer steeping yields stronger flavor.
Serve:
Remove tea bag or leaves. Add honey, lemon, or mint if desired. Enjoy warm, or cool and serve over ice for a refreshing iced white tea.
This method brings out the delicate, floral, and slightly sweet flavors of white tea for a soothing cup.
